I listened to a radio program a few nights ago that, all in all, was
quite frightening. The guests on the program were knowledgeable and
revealed a lot of information that was new to me about the dangers of
smart meters, cell phones, cordless phones, wifi, and the levels of
electronic radiation we are bombarded with on a daily basis. In fact,
with all our "smart" appliances, even these are bombarding us with
microwaves (no, not just the microwave oven) all the time because they
are never truly "off". According to both guests on the program - Dr.
Sam Milham and Dr. Robert Rowen, many illnesses are being triggered by
all the microwaves and dirty electricity we are exposed to every second
of every day.
Unfortunately, there is a subscription
requirement to replay the radio program but a subscription to the whole
archive of programs is only $6.95 per month; less if you buy a longer
subscription time.
Additionally, I found one of Dr.
Milham's videos on youtube; one that shows you how you can easily detect
levels of dirty electricity in your home. He also has information
about how to mitigate the exposure in his videos and on his website.
Here is the program I listened to: http://www.coasttocoastam.com/show/2012/08/13
Dr. Milham's site: http://www.sammilham.com/links.shtm
Dr. Milham's video demonstrating how to detect the levels of dirty electricity in your home:

And
finally, another video found on youtube by a British expert on
microwave technology, including cell phone dangers. This video is very
dry and slow moving but really quite frightening in the information he
reveals, especially about the dangers of cell phones to human embryos
and fetuses.

Welcome to my blog! The main purpose of the blog is to discuss music and books and also to review music, performances, and books offering my recommendations. As for the eclectic part of the title, my interests wander far and wide – music, politics, religion, business and I sometimes feel the need for a soapbox to talk about what I've discovered in my current readings and musings. So sometimes, you'll be treated (or subjected) to my opinions about things going in the world.

Those Republicans - Impeding Everything!
Wow! The rhetoric and obfuscation going on in this Presidential campaign is just wearing me out!
Below are some of my humble opinions. I DO still get to have an opinion, right? Or if I disagree with you, should I just go to a corner and shut up? Don't count on that happening!
I recently read some comments from Democrats, Liberals, Leftists - whatever they're being called today. They were talking about how the Republicans have "impeded" President Obama in everything he tried to do. Really? How is that a problem?
People, whatever side of the aisle you are on, that "impeding" is the REPRESENTATIVE system of government in action. I know it gets tiresome. Egads, I can remember in my younger days seeing broadcasts from Congress and news reports of various Congressmen doing what was known as "filibustering". They essentially got the floor and talked for days and days in order to delay putting a certain measure up for a vote. And we saw this more recently, back in 2006 when Republicans lost control of the Congress to the Democrats and Bush was President. Bush was "impeded" from that point forward in everything he wanted to do. This street goes two ways!
So, ladies and gentlemen, what we've seen over the past four years is absolutely NOTHING NEW! It has nothing to do with the color of the President's skin. He's not being "singled out" for especially terrible treatment. He simply has some ideas and has plans that a lot of the American people don't like and those people put pressure on their representatives to stand up for them! When the Congressional elections came around in 2010, that was an extremely loud presentation of what the majority of people in the country want - they changed the way things would go in the Congress. The PEOPLE demanded their representatives impede plans they didn't want. That is how our government works, stop whining! Weren't you doing the same thing to your representatives??? Of course. Thus, a deadlock or an "impediment", if you will. That's not a bad thing. It should give everyone a chance to cool down and look at things rationally. That hasn't happened yet but I think it will because everyone is just tired of all this.
The Republicans are "impeding" Obama? That's what the Congress is there for, to stand up for the intentions of their constituents, just like the Democrats stand up for theirs.
Just My Humble Opinion, none of them from either side have truly sought any common ground...that would be statesmanship, that's what's REALLY missing.
Doing an end-run around Congress is not right either and goes against our whole system of representative government.
Using Executive Orders to create legislation from the executive branch..? That behavior isn't cute or clever, it destroys the checks and balances in our system, those checks and balances prevent us from having a dictator...someone who just issues edicts and we, the sheeple, must obey.
Think people! Would you like it if a Republican president came in and starting issuing executive orders that thus and such will now be done and by so doing, he took away your right to have your say through your representative in Congress?? If a Republican president were doing that over and over, would you even care what color his/her skin is? If you're honest, I think you would say you'd hate it and you'd be RIGHT to hate it. It completely changes the style of government our Constitution gives us.
We need to UNITE, not keep attacking each other in social media, on TV, every place. We need to DEMAND we have the type of government we're supposed to have and put some civility, not to mention legal behavior, back in Washington DC.
As long as we are picking at each other, they're pretty much free to do whatever they want! Does anyone besides me see this??
